News from Southwest Wales
The SW Wales Permaculture Network had an excellent winter meeting at Dyfed Permaculture Farm Trust on 16 November 2014. Phil Batten and Michelle Lainé, the tenants there, showed us around the site explaining what they do, and why, and answering questions. After a shared lunch Martin Aughton, Tutor at Coppicewood College, Roddy Campbell, volunteer at Coppicewood, and Phil took one group and helped them cut and sned some ash trees next to the site of the proposed cow shed, whilst Michelle and Sue Laverack, a regular volunteer at DPFT, worked with the other group scything bracken for mulch. Phil is a scything champion and runs courses as well as selling scythes. For more information on the Trust and the work Phil and Michelle do there, go to www.dyfedpermaculturefarmtrust.org.uk.
