Summary information

Two sessions on Saturday afternoons 2.00 to 5.00pm 1st February and 8th February 2020. This is an introduction to the amazing world of soil science- beneath our feet is a complex ecosystem which is bursting with life, and is the key to our own healthy nutrition. In session 1 we learn about soil components and test your own soil sample for texture. In session 2 we explore soil life in more detail, the complexity of soils and how we can keep them healthy. Includes pH testing of your own soil sample. We explore the threats to soil, and the important role it plays in storing carbon to counter climate change.
